Jiahe Zhang (China) is a London-based painter whose practice explores memory, transformation, and inner contradiction. Born in Dalian and relocating to the UK at a young age, her work is shaped by the tension between a Buddhist-influenced upbringing and the rapid cultural shifts of contemporary China. Zhang creates abstracted landscapes and figures that exist within dreamlike, suspended environments. Through fluid brushwork and intuitive composition, her work reflects lived experience, emotional depth, and an ongoing process of self-understanding.
